Springmead Haflinger Stud

Chiddingly was our last XC of the year, it was a lovely day with a good turn out. We took Elle and Noelle as you can see sporting their new clips! It was the best event of the year for us, not in terms of winning as we were not placed but we went round as a pair and it was a brilliant round. They jumped with such confidence and we went round at good speed.

There were 18 jumps, a timed gate section, 2 dressing fences and a large water obstacle.

We did really well until fence 14 when a steward put his hand up to stop us. I was gutted I thought we had done something wrong!! However it turned out someone had destroyed a jump near the end so we had to wait for about 3 minutes whilst they repaired it.

We got there in the end and went straight into the next jump the Trakehner which you can see William jumping (left). My photo was awful hence there isn’t one!!!

William bless him spent the whole round asking me to slow down only to be told to hurry up and stop moaning!!

It was great to end the season on such a high we had huge smiles on our faces, they are such good girls!
