Elle and I then had the chance to go to a practice day at Firle where we had a few issues at the beginning of the year as I mentioned before (I’m sure you remember them)! It was a proper course and run like a competition. However you could go round in groups of up to 3 and have as many goes as you liked at each jump to get around the course, as long as you gave way to other riders. I had planned to take Welly but when I walked the course most of the jumps in our class were portable and a lot smaller and more inviting than the course we jumped earlier in the year, so I decided to take Elle back to give her a better experience.

I went with 2 friends down the road on their slightly bigger 16hh horses which were also babies and we had a fabulous time. Elle loved every minute and even jumped the steeple chaser which we previously got stuck over! We went round clear but my friends horses had a couple of refusals! What can I say it happens to the best of us…. ha ha! We all received a rosette for our efforts and it was a really good experience.

Elle and I then went to Angela Langman’s for a ride and catch up with a few other Haffie owners which again we thoroughly enjoyed! Unfortunately there wasn’t a photographer at the XC. However Angela did take some photo’s but I haven’t a copy to show you (yet)!!!

Elle chilling out at home with Welly. What can I say they are just so GORGEOUS!!
